New appointment to the Executive Committee
With retirement of Donna Tidwell, State EMS Director for Tennessee and EMS Compact member at large, the executive board appointed Justin Romanello on January 18,2019 to fill the vacancy until the annual meeting in May 2019.
Justin has nearly twenty years of dedicated emergency services all over the world to include providing care to ill climbers from Mt. Everest as well as those in harm’s way in the Middle East. He began his career working civilian emergency medical services (EMS) in both rural and urban environments. Upon leaving the civilian world, he has worked in various capacities as a contracted employee for the Department of State and the Diplomatic Security Service to include domestic duties as well as positions in Afghanistan and Iraq. Justin has served as a Senior Specialist and Training Officer in the private sector providing medical evacuation, security extraction and crisis management worldwide. Working for an international provider he has been deployed to Africa, Asia, Europe, Central America and domestically within the continental United States.
Currently Justin serves as the Bureau Chief of EMS for the State of New Hampshire and is dedicated to assisting EMS professionals with providing a safe and secure environment for the residents and visitors of the State. He is an avid hiker, traveler and motorcycle enthusiast and lives in Southern New Hampshire.
Throughout his career Justin has been educated by the American Heart Association, National Association of EMT's, International Trauma Life Support, BSR Inc., Gryphon Group Security, National Outdoor Leadership School, Air and Surface Nurse Association, National Tactical Officers Association, National Fire Protection Association, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Department of State as well as other private and federal education programs.
