The EMS Compact is State Law
South Dakota Codified Laws § 34-11C-1: Emergency Medical Services Personnel Licensure Interstate Compact (REPLICA).

The EMS Compact enables licensed EMS personnel to cross state borders using a privilege to practice in other EMS Compact member states without obtaining a separate license. Marty Link was seated as South Dakota’s original Commissioner.
About South Dakota’s EMS System
In South Dakota, the REPLICA legislation was signed into law by Governor Kristi Noem on March 25, 2021. The EMS Compact law took effect on July 1, 2021.
